Hence the poor reviews of this book from other reviewers. Unfortunately at $24.95 and NOT telling potential customers the original book publish date is a real failure on their part. Producers Dreamscape is an avenue to get hard to find books from some classic Romance authors eg Ms Howard. Publishers summery is spot on so no need to add to it. But if like me you have waited over 20 yrs to even get to listen to this classic, then this is for loyal Ms Howard fans. ![]() Romance writers have evolved and of course so has Ms Howard. This classic has the writing of the times, which many young women today have no idea what mature women went through during that period. I do use 1.25x speed to match their spunk. Audible Escape If you are new to Ms Howard, check out After the Night, Up Close and Dangerous, and Heart of Fire for heroines who are strong, focused, and know their own minds. ![]() 6/26/2023 0 Comments Undaunted Hope by Jody Hedlund![]() ![]() After a near-kidnapping, the wedding is cancelled, and Tom hides Victoria at Cape Cod’s Race Point Lighthouse until her attacker can be found. It is this intricate and alienating style that carries the more horrifying elements of Gaiman's script. His characters are craggy and scowling, with furrowed brows and sunken eyes. ![]() Kieth often frames the scene with ornate borders to match the antiquity of the series' protagonist and shapes his panels into bubbles looking outwards into a distorted world. There's an independent, punky feel to these early issues a scrappy aesthetic not usually seen in a premium series. And yet his scratchy work only enhances the mental agony that Gaiman describes. Sam Kieth's pencils are imperfect, wildly varying in model, and often with technically incorrect perspective or scale. ![]() That otherworldliness is brought home by the two pencillers at work on these eight issues. ![]() (Image credit: Sam Kieth/Mike Dringenberg/Daniel Vozzo (DC)) ![]() 6/26/2023 0 Comments Flow cz![]() like "I'm not going to stuff myself into that in my life. However, Cantú’s mother was careful to preserve a sense of his Mexican heritage, and her work as a park ranger led her and Cantú to various spots around the American West and Southwest during his infancy (though he spent most of his childhood in Arizona), so he grew up with some understanding of the U.S.–Mexico border.
